What can I expect?

What is a Harmony Vineyard service like?

A typical service at HVC is built around one thing: the presence of God. We want every service to be an opportunity for you to encounter God, so we have tried to structure our services around things that draw people into an encounter with Him:

  • PRAISE: During every service we spend time singing songs to God, and turning our hearts toward Him. We believe that God inhabits the praises of His people – so when we worship Him and take time to focus our hearts on Him, His tangible presence will come.

  • PRESENCE: Following worship, we focus on His presence. During this time we have people positioned around the room who will pray for you – for anything that may be going on in your life. Also, people may come up front and speak what they feel God wants to say to the church. For example, someone may hear God say that someone is suffering with a certain issue. Then, who ever is suffering with it knows God wants to deal with it. This time of God’s presence is led by the Holy Spirit, not us, so it can change.

  • PREACHING: As much as we value the Spirit of God and His working and moving. we also value balance. That balance comes from the Bible. Everything preached at HVC is rooted in scripture.

What's the culture like at HVC?

The feel of the service itself is casual, loving, and even fun. Church should feel freeing, not restrictive, so we always try to have that feeling of freedom in our service. At HVC you’ll find there’s freedom to worship, freedom to laugh or cry, and freedom to be your true, honest self.

What about my kids?

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at Harmony Kids, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Harmony Kids program the first time that you visit. You’ll want to give yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Harmony Kids experience. Harmony Kids is offered for kids ages infant through Grade 8.
